De-escalation: Supporting Student Behaviour

De-escalation is the the process of calming down a situation in which a student is becoming upset, frustrated, or angry. The aim is to prevent the situation from intensifying, by offering timely and effective support.

This handy guide provides teachers and other school staff with useful information and strategies to implement in school, in order to effectively support student behaviour.
