How to Write an Effective Accessibility Plan

Editable template to create an effective accessibility plan that meets the needs of your setting.

Whether we work in education or health and social care, we need to make sure that our settings are accessible to all. That includes the individuals we support, as well as staff members and visitors.

Not all accessibility needs are visible or obvious, so we need to create robust, detailed accessibility plans to ensure that we take a range of diverse needs into account.

Use our editable accessibility plan template to frame discussions with your staff team around accessibility. There are suggested focus areas, with space to add you own, to match the needs of your setting.

Throughout the process, you can reflect on questions such as:

    • How are we currently meeting this need?

    • Where is there room for further development?

    • Who is responsible for this area?

    • How / when / how often will we measure the impact?
