School Behaviour Scenario Cards

4 school-based scenarios to consider how we can respond to behaviours.

Use these scenario cards in small groups, individually, or as a whole staff team, to discuss how you support behaviour in your school. This is an ideal activity to include in new staff induction sessions or when mentoring Early Career Teachers.

Questions to consider:

    • What could you do immediately to support in this situation?

    • What could reduce the likelihood of this situation happening in the future?

This exercise is not about blame, shame, or doing the ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ thing; rather, it is a way to discuss what you might do in each scenario, enabling you and your staff team to consider the real-life implications of behaviour support.
