School Transition Booklet Templates: Primary & Secondary

School transitions can be stressful for children and young people. Whether it’s moving from an early years setting to primary school, changing year group, or starting at secondary school, transition periods are full of uncertainty and change.

During these times, children and young people can often experience feelings of stress and anxiety, so it can be helpful to prepare them as much as possible for their next steps.

There are two school transition booklets to download: one for primary pupils and one for secondary students. Schools can use the editable template to add information about various aspects of school life, to help children and young people get ready for their new class or school. The booklet can also be shared with parents and carers.
